Annual Reports
1. Initial consultation
The initial consultation is
an information-gathering exercise which sees a
representative of Graphic Media meeting with the
client to gain an understanding of their organisation
and its market and also to discuss the content
and themes to be included in the report.
2. Finalisation of content structure
Before commencement of development, it is imperative
that we have in hand the final, approved 'layout' or 'structure'
of the content. This would entail the number of pages, use of images
and colour (1, 2, 3 or 4 colour) and general design theme.
3. Solutions presentation
Upon giving consideration to your requirements,
we will respond with a proposed design and layout 'solution' accompanied
by a cost estimate. This will be detailed on a 'commencement agreement'
form.
4. Authorisation to commence
When you are satisfied to proceed with the project,
we will require your signed authorisation to commence - Sign the
commencement agreement and fax it back to us.
5. Supply of content
With a final, agreed layout and theme for the
report, you must now supply all necessary content, including images,
text, graphs, logos and colour schemes. Text should be supplied
in the form of a Word document, complete with content page and all
subsequent text/pages. Bookmarks should indicate placement of any
photographs/images. Photographs/images to be supplied as high resolution
JPEG's and logos to be supplied as Illustrator EPS files. *Scanning
of images may incur an extra cost.
6. Development and approval of artwork
The first stage in development is to establish
the 'look & feel' over the first couple of pages - that is, to produce
and gain approval of the visual components that will 'set the scene'
for the rest of the report - before entering the final content.
As reports can be quite substantial in length, it is imperative
that this is approved before proceeding further. You will be supplied
a couple of pages for your approval.
7. Construction of report
With approval of the 'look & feel', we will
now proceed to develop the rest of the report, entering the content
as we go.
8. Proofing
With the report complete with all content, we
will now present it to you for proofing and approval. *Note that
it is too late at this stage to revise the overall 'look & feel'
of the report - it is imperative that the artwork was approved at
the very early stages (as mentioned above). Of course, minor tweaks
are acceptable, but this stage is essentially one of 'technical
refinement' only.
9. Printing and final approval
Graphic Media is able to take
care of all your printing needs - we will provide
a printing quote for your consideration. The printer
will produce a full-colour hard-copy proof, which
you must check over carefully and sign-off as
your final approval.
